There are also many beautiful castles to visit on the Moselle, with Eltz Castle near Moselkern being particularly worth a visit. It is one of the most romantic castles in our region.

Chairlift to the Pinnerkreuz with hiking options
The Cochem chairlift in Cochem on the Moselle is a single-cable gondola lift that runs from Cochem to the Pinnerkreuz viewpoint, 255 metres above sea level. The approximately 15-minute ride on the chairlift provides an impressive view of the town of Cochem and the surrounding countryside. After arriving at the top, you have the opportunity to go hiking.

For decades, it was one of the best-kept secrets of the old Federal Republic of Germany: the bunker of the German Bundesbank in Cochem has been open to visitors since the beginning of 2016.
